Sporting Hill Bridge

Sporting Hill bridge takes its name from a nearby village, but has several other names, including some -- such as Whiskey Distillery Bridge -- from its early association with Kaufmann's Distillery. It is reported that the Kaufman family traveled once a month in a loop selling whiskey in Mount Joy, Elizabethtown, Hershey, Lebanon, Brickerville, and Manheim. With its clear, curving eastern approach road, this typical Lancaster County bridge offers some nice vistas for the photographer.
